The neck of this instrument has been thermally treated by us.

Now it is a ROASTED NECK" We have developed this thermal treatment over years. During Thermo-Treatment, we heat the neck blank very slowly and gently to over 180 degrees Celsius. After that, it cools down againwery slowly. The whole procedure takes about 2 days and is done under a vacuum.Roasting changes the cell structure of the wood, which makes the neck vibrate better and thus sound like a good-old, "played-in" instrument. In addition, the neck has become slightly lighter and also the stiffness has increased. And if that isn't enough, the wood has gotten more resistant to temperature and humidity changes and has acquired a beautiful dark fawn color.
